Byron was a planet of rich biodiversity and home to the great kingdoms of Acandor.
The vast terrain allowed the fair use of its spaces, resulting in few disputes and, most of the time, in peaceful and harmonious coexistence, even among different people.
Life was quite common; basic technology, nothing but labors and harvests on much of the habitable surface, and magic did not yet exist.
One day a meteor that had been wandering for a long time alone through space collided with the planet.
The impact was devastating, and the result was that almost half of the planet fragmented and was thrown into space, being held in Byronβs orbit only by its gravity, forming thousands of islands around the atmosphere.
All kingdoms fell due to the scale of the disaster, and the few life forms that remained found refuge on these islands. The rest of the planet not transformed into islands was called "The Continent" by the remaining peoples.
Over the years, the islands' biology began to adapt; unique biomes were created and people started to find fragments of magical crystals that originated from the impact with the celestial body.
Each crystal shard enabled the development of new technologies specific to each biome, which have their own characteristics of fauna, flora, minerals, landscapes, and life.
