🌲Forest: The Sacred Woods

The Continent

Home to the Kami, these woods are a vast area shrouded in mystery from before the great catastrophe.

There has never been a central kingdom in this area, but instead, the Kami live in harmony with nature, only recovering resources to build their small houses and beautiful, humble temples.

The people who live here have little or no contact with the other regions of the world. The few remaining on the land adhere to a primarily religious lifestyle.

The influence of the increasing evil broke their faith, causing most of the once beautiful and abundant temples and settlements to become ruins. The main settlement, a large castle-town located in the center of the forest, is the seat of the Dairyu Empire.

The land is full of rivers and trees of many different species. A dense fog overcomes the view in multiple areas, making it difficult to cross the forest. Crystals are not common in the woods and, for this reason, are generally highly valued as symbols of bravery and heroism by the Kami. These crystals produce a slight heat but are used to connect with a kind of magical oracle when it is necessary to make critical decisions.
