The Continent

Also known as The Great Swamp, this area is known as the cradle of alchemy and the origin of all poisonous materials in Acandor.

Few people have ever lived here, resulting in few cities or kingdoms on the land. However, a long time ago, a school of alchemy was opened in the center of the continent. The school became powerful, having significant influence among the other kingdoms. It is notoriously known for its alchemical and explosive formulas, not to mention the poison they used in secret.

The Aurum Institute is a school whose students are proud to live on its vast grounds. Below the school, there is a vast number of catacombs from an ancient civilization.

While exploring this site in search of discoveries in alchemy, a sleeping dragon was found. The amount of dirt made it clear that the dragon had been sleeping for millennia, but as soon as the explorers stepped into the sanctuary, the dragon awoke. However, their interaction was peaceful and it taught students even more about the secrets of alchemy and the power of poison.

This dragon was Vemous, the Southern Host Dragon, and the ruins were named "The Swamp Catacombs".

The constructions have wood as their main building material. However, different then Forest: The Sacred Woods, the wood is raw and rotten. The inhabitants normally use whole tree trunks to make pillars and use small stones as mortar.
