For players who own adjacent islands, building bridges between them will be possible, allowing the mobility between lands to be faster and more fluid without the need to use teleportation methods.
There are some rules for connection between islands to be allowed. Are they:
The islands must belong to the same owner to be connected.
Connection is not allowed on diagonals, only in the direction of the island's four horizontal or vertical directions and always in a straight line. However, that DOES NOT mean the islands must be perfectly aligned within the established limit.
Each island has a specific range determined by the size of the island itself. This radius must be respected.
Navigation Mechanics
One of the advantages of having connected islands is being able to move around them through bridges that must be built.
This navigation through bridges makes the experience more fluid, and the bridges can also be used by other players who pass through your islands.
Expansion Mechanics
Another advantage of connected islands is the improvement of some types of construction.
For example, an island's warehouse may have expanded capacity according to the number of islands connected to the land, turning the building into a "central warehouse" for local islands.
The main idea is to redirect the capabilities of one (or more) island(s) on a specific piece of land the player chooses as their center to that type of building.
The warehouse example was an obvious way to demonstrate this mechanic, but other building types which are still under development may benefit from this type of expansion mechanics.
